DefectDojo Application Logs Persistence and Root Cause Investigation After Database ACU Spike
Hello Valentijn S., Yesterday, our DefectDojo application became unresponsive due to the database reaching 100% ACU utilization. We observed an unusual increase in application load during the incident. To restore service, we restarted the application, after which it started functioning normally. Following the recovery, we attempted to identify the exact root cause of the issue. However, we were unable to find any application logs corresponding to the downtime period. Could you please clarify whether DefectDojo application logs are persisted by default? If so, where can we access them after a restart? Additionally, could you advise on the best approaches to investigate and determine the root cause of this issue? We would appreciate any recommendations regarding logs, metrics, database analysis, or other troubleshooting methods that could help with the investigation. We look forward to your response.
